Australia prides itself on best practises when it comes to rail safety. Risk managers have a duty to safety in regards to design, construction, operation and maintenance of rail transport. This session will include:
- Understanding the execution phase and what goes into minimising risk before construction has started
- Safety throughout the life cycle of transport assets from planning, acquisition and operation to disposal
- How developers are coping with safety concerns over crowded networks
- How these strategies led to a 14.3% decrease of complaints about safety & security in 2014-2015
