10:10 AM Wynyard Station Upgrade: From Design to Construction, a Station That Responds to Customer Needs

Peter Church will explore the station design, planning and construction that has led to a station that offers increased customer satisfaction and can deal with the rise in demand of Sydney’s third busiest station. This session will explore:

  • The innovations behind Wynyard Station and Wynyard Walk to manage an increase in foot traffic and developing innovation way finding solutions
  • Enhancing the customer experience of Wynyard station through innovation design concepts such as heritage escalators and wynscreen- projects that enhances the walk to Wynyard station
  • Strategies to minimise disruptions in project delivery and ensure safety for commuters on live operating environments
  • Strategies to cope with the expected demand of 100 000 commuters
